Today is Thanksgiving and my mother's birthday. It is a blessing to be spending time with my family today. Five or so years ago I was living in Canada. Since Canadians celebrate their Thanksgiving in October, getting four days off to visit Cali in November took some effort.

My love affair with adventure started a long time ago but recently I have started committing portions of this history to paper. I have been encouraged by several members of my community to share these thoughts and stories via the interwebs. Thus the birth of these pages.
Swapping stories at a dinner party and around campfires is more my style. This writing thing is completely foreign. I'm an engineer. We don't know how to communicate, right? Bear with me as I grow into this new way of sharing the memories I love.
Like the frost this morning, melting away in the sun, so too will my fingers thaw as I begin to explore parts of my life lived but not yet written.
