A day to myself. Brunch at the Mountain Home Inn then a couple hours of reading and writing at the West Point Inn. From Mill Valley to there and back is 7 miles so I got a good workout too. I really love Marin. The fog today was fabulous. It was lying in wait just at the edge of the Panoramic Highway. I ended up stopping at a couple spots for a bit along the way to listen to the waterfalls. It was interesting to get lost in the sound. There is something so calming about waves and running water. I suppose the fog is like that too.
My folks were out so I had the house to myself when I got back. It’s my favorite thing. Lots of loud music and darkness. There was no moon out but it was wonderful to sit at the kitchen table and watch the day die. I love it when I get to follow my internal guide and flow through the day. Sitting and writing up at the West Point Inn was really wonderful too. I realized as I write this that I didn’t talk to anyone yesterday. A few texts here and there, the brunch servers but no one else. A day that was completely my own.
